Three Rivers - Mississippi Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Etheridge Posts Huge Game in 41-0 Victory

Starting off the list is Princeton's Casey Etheridge, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Etheridge rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.

If the past is any indication, Etheridge could be in store for another big game when he takes on Mendota on Friday. Etheridge rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries the last time he and the Trojans duked it out back in October of 2023.

Nicholas Huston and Co. Win Sixth in a Row

Nicholas Huston was instrumental in extending Monmouth-Roseville's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Huston as he picked up 0.5 sacks and made six total tackles (2.0 for loss). He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up 0.5 sacks and making six total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Sherrard had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Huston it was a similar story. When Huston last faced the Tigers back in October of 2023, he picked up four sacks and made seven total tackles.

Payton Thompson's big game helped extend Monmouth-Roseville's winning streak to six on Friday. Thompson was dynamite, rushing for 95 yards. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 76 yards.

Unfortunately for Sherrard, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Thompson. Thompson rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries the last time he and the Tigers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Ace Christiansen Makes It Two for Princeton

The second Princeton player making an appearance here is Ace Christiansen, and for good reason. He rushed for 69 yards on only nine carries.

Christiansen and Princeton will venture away from home to take on Mendota at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Trojans, probably because Christiansen had a solid game then too: he rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
