Basketball Game Preview: Millikan Rams vs. Calabasas Coyotes

The Millikan Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Calabasas Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Millikan blew past Compton, posting a 95-42 victory. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Tarbabes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Millikan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremiah Hunt, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. Hunt also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Millikan is undefeated when he posts at least five steals, but 11-12 otherwise. Tariq Bridges was another key player, shooting 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and almost dropping a double-double with 20 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Calabasas made easy work of Agoura on Tuesday and carried off a 76-53 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coyotes.

Calabasas' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-11. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points over those games. As for Millikan, their record now sits at 15-12.

Millikan came up short against Calabasas in their previous matchup back in December of 2017, falling 69-56. Can Millikan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
