The biggest upset of the week belonged to Ponchatoula, who took down 39th ranked Ponchatoula, 28-7.
Covington suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after defeating Northshore. The Lions had been ranked 22nd, but fell to 28.
St. Paul's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ryan O'Krepki threw for 153 and two touchdowns and Ben Anzalone had 69 yards receiving. On the ground Marcus Gaines chipped in 91 yards. Ryan Malone helped St. Paul's passing attack out by catching four balls for 51 yards.
Mandeville's Glen Cuiellette and Zach Boudreaux have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 5A District 6 in both passing and receiving yards. Cuiellette has thrown for 940 yards this season, while Boudreaux has 20 catches for 368 yards. Gaines from the Wolves leads the league in rushing with 379 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Fontainebleau takes on Covington. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in sixth, while Malter Scobel's team is in first.
St. Paul led the league in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on Slidell. O'Krepki ran for four yards in the win.
