Volleyball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Centennial started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-14, 25-18, 25-20.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Sangre de Cristo, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Coincidentally, Centennial and Sangre de Cristo will both be playing Mountain Valley the next time they take the court. The Thunderbirds will head out to face the Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rams will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
