Basketball Game Preview: Imbler Panthers vs. Powder Valley Badgers

The Imbler Panthers will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Powder Valley Badgers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Imbler is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Imbler ended up a good deal behind Umpqua Valley Christian and lost 44-30. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Monarchs are ranked 58th).

Meanwhile, Powder Valley came up short against Cove on Saturday and fell 58-48. The Badgers have struggled against the Leopards recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Imbler's record now sits at 1-7. As for Powder Valley, their record is now 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Imbler against Powder Valley in their previous matchup back in February, as the squad secured a 54-18 win. Will Imbler repeat their success, or does Powder Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
