Basketball Recap: Plainfield Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Plainfield strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Zionsville Eagles by a score of 63-52. The Quakers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Plainfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Smith, who shot 67% from the field en route to 23 points. The game was Smith's eighth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Harper Baker-Lands, who posted 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Plainfield's record now sits at 7-0. As for Zionsville, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Plainfield will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Guerin Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on January 2, 2026. Zionsville and Carroll will round out the year against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
