Volleyball Recap: Gibbon Comes Up Short

Gibbon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat. They came up short against the Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Brynn Baxter paced Gibbon's offense, picking up seven kills. Baxter got some help from Claire Clark and her 12 assists. Finally, Cove Fries kept Gibbon's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Gibbon's loss dropped their record down to 1-28. As for Doniphan-Trumbull, their victory bumped their record up to 14-16.

Gibbon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Doniphan-Trumbull, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Hershey on the 28th.
