It was a good run, but Calvary Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 60-39 to Gospel Light Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougar have suffered against Gospel Light Christian since November 18, 2016.

Calvary Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Gospel Light Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian and White Plains Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gospel Light Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Alamance Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
