Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is St. Paul's Third in Last Four Outings

St. Paul won the last time they faced Western Christian and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Buckaroos' pitchers stepped up to hand the Pioneers a 15-0 shutout. The Buckaroos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by nine runs or more this season.

St. Paul is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Western Christian, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Paul will take on Perrydale at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Western Christian, they will face off against Colton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
