Volleyball Recap: Heath Falls Despite Big Games from Adrianne Pethtel and Emma Moore

After flying high against Zanesville on Tuesday, Heath came back down to earth. The Bulldogs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies on Thursday. Surprisingly, this marked the Bulldogs' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 27-29, 25-23.

Heath's loss came despite strong showings from Emma Moore and Adrianne Pethtel. Moore had 16 assists and eight digs, while Pethtel had 17 digs.

Heath's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Johnstown-Monroe, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Heath will welcome Bloom-Carroll at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Johnstown-Monroe has already played their next contest (against Westerville North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
