Basketball Recap: Conant Takes a Loss

If Conant was riding high fresh off their 45-25 takedown of Campbell last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Conant Orioles received a blow on Friday as they fell 45-28 to the Gilford Golden Eagles. The Orioles haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Conant's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Gilford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Coming up, Conant will challenge Fall Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Fall Mountain will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Conant surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gilford, they will take on Newfound Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gilford's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Newfound Regional's offense will have their work cut out for them.
