Football Game Preview: Falls City Beavers vs. Shiner Comanches + How To Watch

Falls City is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Shiner is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Beavers will host the Comanches at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Falls City is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-8 win over Louise. The high-scoring effort was just what the Beavers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Braylon Johnson and Tyler Pawelek were among the main playmakers for Falls City as the former rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries and the latter rushed for 131 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Johnson has posted since back in November of 2024.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Falls City was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 344 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 197 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Johnson, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Shiner got themselves on the board against Charlotte on Friday, but Charlotte never followed suit. They blew past the Trojans 54-0. The result was nothing new for the Comanches, who have now won four games by 22 points or more so far this season.

The victory got Falls City back to even at 3-3. As for Shiner, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
