Basketball Recap: Cabrillo Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mission College Prep, Cabrillo was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 51-39 win over the Orcutt Academy Spartans. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Conquistadores as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Cabrillo's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Orcutt Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Cabrillo will be taking part in a tournament against Paso Robles at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Paso Robles knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Cabrillo likes a good challenge. As for Orcutt Academy, they will be home for the holidays to greet San Luis Obispo Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th.
