Volleyball Recap: Waterford Wolverines vs. Elkhorn Elks
Waterford lost against Elkhorn back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Elks by a score of 2-1.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Waterford sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 15-7.
Kacyn Addis paced Waterford's offense, picking up four kills. Addis also shared the team's lead in assists with Maddy Monte: they picked up six each. Finally, Evy Hoffman kept Waterford's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
Waterford dropped their record down to 9-22 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Elkhorn, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season.
