Basketball Recap: Ridgeland Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Ridgeland waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Vicksburg Gators 71-55. That's more bragging rights for the Titans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ridgeland got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Phil Nelson out in front who went 11 for 16 on his way to 27 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Nelson's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Khameron Snow was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 19 points and nine assists.

Ridgeland's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Vicksburg, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Ridgeland will venture away from home to face off against Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vicksburg, they will host Warren Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
