Volleyball Game Preview: Plainville Cardinals vs. Trego Golden Eagles

Plainville is 2-8 against Trego since September of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cardinals will head out to face off against the Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m.

Plainville's tournament run continued when they took on Victoria on Saturday. The Cardinals fell 2-0 to the Knights.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Trego can bid farewell to their six-match losing streak thanks to their match on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Hill City 2-1.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (67-65) Trego actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 15-25, 25-20.

Plainville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16-1. As for Trego, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.
