Volleyball Recap: West Craven Eagles vs. Eastern Wayne Warriors
West Craven won the last time they faced Eastern Wayne and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-13.
Sophia Sutton paced West Craven's offense, picking up ten kills. Sutton got some help from Taylar Jarman and her 14 assists. Camryn Pillar controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.
Despite the loss, Eastern Wayne had strong showings from Mallory Reed, who had five aces and one block, and Lyric Hagans, who had four aces and one block.
West Craven's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Eastern Wayne, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-17.
