Basketball Recap: Decatur Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Decatur won the last time they faced New Buffalo and things went their way on Friday too. The Decatur Raiders managed a 42-38 victory over the New Buffalo Bison. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

New Buffalo lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Shyann Spaulding, who to rack up 12 points and seven rebounds. Addison Lynch was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Decatur pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points over those games. As for New Buffalo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Decatur will welcome Marcellus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Buffalo, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mendon at 7:30 p.m.
