Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Richland proved: they limited Bedford to a paltry 1.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Camden Yeager for the heroic effort on defense: he. Richland's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.8.
Richland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Joe McAneny and Arnold Mugerwa. Richland received some extra help from Brodie Hollis, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Huntingdon beat Penns Valley Area 35-23 on Friday. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Rams are ranked 382nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Huntingdon's win came from a few key players Richland will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Landon Erdman, who rushed for 263 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 95 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Edmiston, who gained 168 total yards and two touchdowns.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Richland has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 154.2 rushing yards per game.
