Volleyball Recap: Hopkins Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hopkins lost against Maple Grove back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Royals came up short against the Crimson, falling 3-0. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Hopkins was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-23, 25-18.

Maple Grove was led to victory by Amanda Swiers and Tess Schuler. Swiers had 20 assists and six digs, while Schuler had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Schuler has posted over her last six contests.

Hopkins' defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Maple Grove, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hopkins will face off against Tartan at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Maple Grove, they will take on Wayzata at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
