Volleyball Recap: Ygnacio Valley Takes a Loss

Ygnacio Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Richmond Oilers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

While Ygnacio Valley was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Richmond's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-20.

Ygnacio Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Richmond, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Looking ahead, Ygnacio Valley will head out to square off against Concord at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Richmond, they will challenge Swett at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
