Basketball Game Preview: Danvers Falcons vs. Beverly Panthers

Danvers hasn't had much luck against Beverly recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Danvers Falcons will venture away from home to take on the Beverly Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Danvers is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Danvers came up short against Gloucester and fell 67-55.

Despite the loss, Danvers got top-tier performance from Zachary Calabro, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 22 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Calabro a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Sillars, who almost dropped a double-double on nine boards and nine assists.

Meanwhile, Beverly earned a 53-40 win over Lawrence on Sunday.

Danvers' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2. As for Beverly, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-2.

Danvers was taken down by Beverly 76-47 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Danvers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
