Volleyball Recap: Central Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Central and Academy at Palumbo squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Central had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Griffin. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Griffin this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-1 defeat last Friday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 22-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Jonas Milson was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 13 digs and two assists. Devin Zhao also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Academy at Palumbo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Academy at Palumbo, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Carver High School of Engineering & Science on the 19th.
