Football Recap: St. Andrew's Piles Up the Points Against Harvest Community

St. Andrew's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 victory over the Harvest Community Warriors. That looming 42-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lions yet this season.

St. Andrew's found their leader in sophomore Patrick Jackson, who rushed for 60 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also threw for 120 yards and one touchdown on only seven passes.

St. Andrew's run defense was locked in: Harvest Community could only muster 2.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Joe Frazar for the heroic effort on defense: he. St. Andrew's didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.7.

St. Andrew's defense didn't let Andrew Posey, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Jack Kelley was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

St. Andrew's picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Harvest Community, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

St. Andrew's wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 39-12 defeat against Pinewood Christian on the 10th. As for Harvest Community, they have also already played their next matchup, a 50-21 loss against Christ's Church Academy on the 10th.
