Basketball Recap: Jonesboro-Hodge Comes Up Short

Jonesboro-Hodge lost against Ringgold back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers had to suffer through a 61-33 loss at the hands of the Ringgold Redskins. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Ringgold's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was KuVell Manning, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 19 points. LaDaunte McCoy was another key player, going 6 for 14 en route to 15 points and five boards.

Jonesboro-Hodge's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Ringgold, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-17 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jonesboro-Hodge will take on Homer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jonesboro-Hodge is facing Homer at the right time seeing as Homer is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Ringgold, they will venture away from home to face off against Glenbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ringgold is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.
