Lakes entered their tilt with Cary-Grove on Wednesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 2-0. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

While Lakes won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17.

Isabel Stauber paced Lakes' offense, picking up seven kills. Stauber got some help from Sammi Madsen and her 19 assists. Brynn Skinner and Addison Sundquist kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Lakes' victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Cary-Grove, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Coming up, Lakes will head out to take on Round Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cary-Grove, they will challenge Hampshire at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
