Basketball Recap: Onsted Makes It 12 in a Row at Home

Onsted had won 11 straight home games dating back to last season and Rylan Henagan did his part to make it 12 on Saturday. The Onsted Wildcats took down the Eaton Rapids Greyhounds 59-41 thanks in part to Henagan, who went 9 of 21 on his way to 21 points along with five boards and five steals. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

The team also got some help courtesy of Talan Hutchinson, who posted eight points in addition to six assists and three steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played.

Onsted's record now sits at 8-0. As for Eaton Rapids, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Onsted will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Arbor Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Eaton Rapids will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Olivet at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
