Football Recap: Pomona Falls Short Against Ranked the Classical Academy + How To Watch

Pomona faced The Classical Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Panthers received a blow as they fell 27-12 to the Titans. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Although Pomona took the loss, they still got scores from Laurel Elliott and Timberly Martinez.

Among those leading the charge was Kelsey Peterson, who threw for 187 yards and four touchdowns. What's more, she racked up 29 rushing yards, the most she's had since back in August of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pomona fell to 5-1. As for The Classical Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Pomona will welcome Littleton at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. The Lions' defense has only allowed 10.4 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for The Classical Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 19-18 loss against Doherty on the 10th.
