Baseball Recap: Parkway Central Comes Up Short

Parkway Central lost against Lafayette back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Colts lost 13-1 to the Lancers. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parkway Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Baird, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That hit was Baird's first of the season.

Parkway Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lafayette, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Parkway Central and Lafayette could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Colts will square off against Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (271 vs. 34). Meanwhile, Lafayette (ranked 62nd) will meet Eureka (ranked 20th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
