Recap: Concord Minutemen vs. Penn Kingsmen
The Concord Minutemen and the Penn Kingsmen squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Concord Minutemen had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a rough 51-19 loss at the hands of the Kingsmen. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Concord has scored all season.
It was another big night for Lauren Walsh, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals for Penn. Walsh has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kristlynn Minor, who scored ten points.
Concord has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Penn, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-6.
Concord does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Penn will face off against the RedHawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Goshen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Thursday.
