Softball Recap: Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays vs. Bishop Neumann Cavaliers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ashland-Greenwood can now relate to. They came up short against the Bishop Neumann Cavaliers on Thursday, falling 13-3. The Bluejays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Sofia Dill made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with a home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Joslyn Sargent, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Ashland-Greenwood's loss dropped their record down to 20-12. As for Bishop Neumann, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 32-3 record this season.
