Baseball Recap: Little Miami Gets the Win

After losing to Bishop Fenwick the last time they met, Little Miami decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 8-3 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Brayden Hiles looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Charlie Whitacre was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Milligan, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Little Miami now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bishop Fenwick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Little Miami will challenge West Clermont at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bishop Fenwick, they will square off against Lebanon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
