Softball Recap: Salem Find Success

Salem proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 20) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Lanesville Eagles 4-2. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 7-4 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Kenadie Garloch was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Wilson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Salem's record is now 2-0. As for Lanesville, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salem will challenge Scottsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lanesville, they will take on Orleans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
