IC Catholic Prep waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They strolled past the Francis W. Parker Colonels with points to spare, taking the game 63-49. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Colonels are ranked 318th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Colonels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lev Goldman, who posted 21 points. Goldman is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Harris, who earned 13 points.

IC Catholic Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Francis W. Parker, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.

IC Catholic Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 59-45 loss against DePaul College Prep on the 21st. Francis W. Parker has also already played their next contest, a 69-62 victory against Chicago University on the 21st.
