Basketball Recap: Ruskin Comes Up Short

Ruskin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Belton Pirates, falling 53-21. If the Golden Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 51-33 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ruskin's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Belton, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-11.

Ruskin has already played their next matchup (against Van Horn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Belton will host Truman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Belton is facing Truman at the right time seeing as Truman is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
