Football Recap: Kenedy's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Pettus last Friday, Kenedy came back down to earth. The Lions came up short against the Schulenburg Shorthorns on Friday, falling 47-26. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Shorthorns: they've now lost three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Kenedy lost, don't look at David Salas. Despite the final result, he rushed for 170 yards and two TDs. With that strong performance, Salas is now averaging an impressive 111.4 rushing yards per game.

Having lost for the first time this season, Kenedy fell to 4-1. As for Schulenburg, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.
