The Lemon Bay Manta Rays will square off against the Riverdale Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lemon Bay is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Lemon Bay didn't have quite enough to beat DeSoto County and fell 6-5. The Manta Rays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jamie Marie Penia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Hall, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Lemon Bay's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-9. As for Riverdale, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-9.

Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lemon Bay hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .359. However, it's not like Riverdale struggles in that department as they've averaged .344. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
