First Coast is 8-2 against Sandalwood since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. First Coast is taking a road trip to square off against Sandalwood at 6:00 p.m. First Coast has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Sandalwood will come in with three straight victories.

On Monday, First Coast came up short against Atlantic Coast and fell 8-4.

Brooke Edmonds made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Destiny Mays also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Even though they lost, First Coast was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. This was only their first loss (out of five games) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Sandalwood got the win against ED White on Monday by a conclusive 18-3.

Madison Seprish was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Izabella Marques, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

First Coast's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Sandalwood, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Sandalwood's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: First Coast hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .343. It's a different story for Sandalwood, though, as they've only averaged .248. Will they be able to contain First Coast's hitters?

First Coast beat Sandalwood 4-1 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for First Coast since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
