Fruita Monument had won nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 15-4 to make it ten. They came out on top against the Montrose Red Hawks by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Red Hawks back in September, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Cambelle Brammer paced Fruita Monument's offense, picking up 25 kills. Brammer got some help from Parker Clarke and her 49 assists. Dana Conklin controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

As for Montrose, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-1. The loss was their first of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Montrose lost, don't look at Reina Contreras. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and two assists.

Coming up, Fruita Monument will be taking part in a tournament against Pine Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Montrose, they will head out to take on Grand Junction at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
