Baseball Recap: Maiden Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Maiden can now relate to. They fell 3-0 to the Community School of Davidson Spartans on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Blue Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Maiden saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brycen James, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. James has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Maiden's loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Community School of Davidson, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8.

Maiden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Community School of Davidson, they will face off against Forbush on Friday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
