Basketball Recap: Boca Raton Comes Up Short

Boca Raton was the 54-38 winner over Monarch when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Boca Raton Bobcats fell 59-52 to the Monarch Knights on Friday. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monarch's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Benjamin Boutin led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. Kayden Williams was another key player, going 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points and four steals.

Boca Raton now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Monarch, their record is now 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boca Raton will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Royal Palm Beach at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Monarch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hallandale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
