Softball Recap: Clinton Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Clinton entered their tilt with Columbia on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Capitals a 20-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-0 last Tuesday.

The win got Clinton back to even at 8-8-1. As for Columbia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinton will head out to challenge Ninety Six at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Red Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Columbia, they are taking a road trip to take on Mid-Carolina at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
