Volleyball Recap: Lainey Larner and Sydney Pottala Secure Win for Maroa-Forsyth

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Maroa-Forsyth had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Prairie Central Hawks by a score of 2-0. The Trojans were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Hawks, so the Trojans were just returning the favor.

Leading Maroa-Forsyth to victory were Sydney Pottala and Lainey Larner. Pottala had 13 digs and three assists, while Larner had six digs. Pottala is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Maroa-Forsyth is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-12 record this season. As for Prairie Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-17.

As of now, neither Maroa-Forsyth nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
