Basketball Recap: Washington County Gets the Win

Washington County's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 54-41 win over the Citronelle Wildcats. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Citronelle lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Chloe Lynn, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Taishauna Moody, who had 12 points.

Washington County's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Citronelle, their loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-16.

Washington County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Millry at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Washington County is facing Millry at the right time seeing as Millry is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. Citronelle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
