Recap: Fowler Grizzlies vs. Walsenburg Panthers
After a string of five wins, the Fowler Grizzlies's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell to Walsenburg 45-41. The contest was a 23-23 toss-up at halftime, but Fowler was outscored by Walsenburg in the second.
Despite the loss, Fowler still got an impressive performance from Gage Gottbehuet, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Harrison Proctor, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Fowler's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Walsenburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fowler will take on Peyton at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Peyton is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Walsenburg, they will be playing at home against Swink at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Swink focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Saturday.
