Football Game Preview: Bishop's Knights vs. Don Lugo Conquistadores + How To Watch

The Bishop's Knights will head out on the road to take on the Don Lugo Conquistadores at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Don Lugo took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bishop's, who comes in off a win.

Bishop's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 49-0 win over Classical Academy. That looming 49-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

Cash Herrera produced another solid performance throwing for 343 yards and five TDs while completing 73.1% of his passes, and also rushing for 66 yards and one touchdown. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. Bishop's leading receiver Dane Larson was Herrera's top target yet again, picking up 123 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Bishop's run defense was locked in: Classical Academy could only muster 2.9 yards per carry. The Knights' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.2.

Meanwhile, Don Lugo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 35-0 loss at the hands of Brentwood School. While losing is never fun, the Conquistadores can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 698th, while the Eagles are ranked 344th).

Bishop's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Don Lugo, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
