Softball Recap: Plattsburgh Takes a Loss

Plattsburgh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-5 to the Northeastern Clinton Cougars. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Marlie Walker made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run. Emma Calkins also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Plattsburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Northeastern Clinton, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Plattsburgh wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-6 victory against AuSable Valley on the 21st. Northeastern Clinton has also already played their next matchup (against Lake Placid), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
