Volleyball Recap: Provo Takes a Loss

Provo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Skyline Eagles, falling 3-0.

Despite the loss, Provo saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lexi Carter had ten digs. Carter has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Maya Grant was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs and six assists. Those six assists gave her a new career-high.

Provo's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Skyline, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Coincidentally, Provo and Skyline will both be playing Eagle the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
