Baseball Game Preview: Marion Mustangs vs. Gresham Community Wildcats

The Marion Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the Gresham Community Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Marion comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Tuesday, Marion didn't have quite enough to beat Tigerton and fell 5-4.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Gresham Community duked it out with Bowler on Thursday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Panthers. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Gresham Community, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Marion beat Gresham Community 8-5 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
