Basketball Recap: Gilead Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Temple Christian last Monday, Gilead Christian came back down to earth. The Eagles were beaten by the Marion H Hawks 57-4 on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Max Keller was Gilead Christian's leading scorer, having posted four points. Keller also led the team in rebounds with eight.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gilead Christian fell to 2-1. As for Marion H, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilead Christian will take on Oakstone Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Marion H, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kingsway Christian at 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2026.
